Let me first state my question as succinctly as I can and then add a few qualifying comments. This brilliant exposition of the critique of identity is a classic in contemporary philosophy and one of Deleuze's most important works. There is no internal movement, no "secret vibration which animates it, a more profound internal repetition within the singular" (see Deleuze's Difference and Repetition).
